Translating a report

A generated report can be translated into another report language with one click. Useful when tenant and landlord speak different languages: you work in one source document and hand each party the report in their own language.

Starting a translation

Next to the report title you see the language pills: the source document and every existing translation. Click + Translation, pick the target language, and the translation is created in the background. After a few minutes the new language appears as a pill; use it to switch views.

Available target languages are the report languages (Dutch, French, English, German and Spanish), minus the language of the source document itself.

Cost

A new translation costs 1 token (reports up to 200 photos) or 2 tokens (larger reports).
Updating an existing translation is free: only the changed parts are translated again.

Editing and updating

A translated view is read-only: content changes always happen in the source document. If you change the source after a translation was made, that translation gets an outdated indicator on its language pill. One click updates it for free.

Downloading and sharing

Per language you download the report as a Word document or PDF; the download follows the language you are viewing. In the mobile app you switch between a report’s languages via the same language pills.

A review round and the digital signing currently run on the source document only, so in the source language. Translations serve as a reading version for the parties.

Older reports can be translated too; ImmoHabits prepares them automatically. Only for very old reports this is no longer possible: the translate button is then greyed out and tells you the report needs to be renewed first.
