Meter readings

On the Meter readings tab of the property details you record the readings of all meters at the time of the inspection. They automatically appear as a clear table in the report, including the correct unit (kWh, m³ or litres).

You find the tab via Manage property or the menu on the property page, next to the other tabs such as Parties and Dossier. The tab is also available in the mobile app.

Adding meters

Click Add meter and choose the type:

Electricity: day, night, single, excluding night, or injection (day/night) for solar panel owners
Gas
Water
Heating oil
Other

Per meter you enter the reading, and where relevant the meter number and the EAN code. ImmoHabits only shows the fields that exist for the chosen type: an EAN code only exists for electricity and gas, for instance, and a heating oil tank has no meter number either. Add as many meters as needed, so two water meters or a separate injection meter are no problem.

Filled in automatically from your meter photos

If you photograph the meters during the inspection (in the default room Meter readings), ImmoHabits reads the readings and meter numbers while generating the report and fills in the tab automatically.

Readings you entered yourself are never overwritten: only empty fields are completed. Always double-check the automatically read values; it remains a reading taken from a photo.

The readings are a snapshot of this file. If you later create a move-out, the tab starts empty so you record the new readings of that moment.
